outdoor wedding ceremony on a riverbed
in tyrol, austria
Some wedding days are remembered for the details. Others for the weather. But the wedding day of Debi and Max will always stay with me because of the atmosphere. From the very beginning, everything felt relaxed and effortless. There was no rushing from one part of the day to the next, no stress about timelines or changing plans. Instead, the day was filled with laughter, good conversations, and people who were genuinely excited to celebrate these two.
Their ceremony by the riverbed was emotional, heartfelt and filled with moments that won’t be forgotten anytime soon. But shortly after they said “I do”, the skies decided to join the celebration in their own dramatic way. What started as rain quickly turned into what felt like an endless downpour. And when I say rain, I mean R-A-I-N. To this day, I don’t think I’ve ever experienced that much water falling from the sky during a wedding day.
The beautiful thing? Nobody let it affect the mood. Instead of letting the weather steal the show, everyone simply embraced it. The laughter continued, the energy stayed high, and the party only got better as the evening went on. Somehow, the rain became part of the story rather than a disruption to it. And then, just before sunset, nature had one final surprise in store. After hours of pouring rain, a full double rainbow stretched across the sky, followed by a breathtaking sunset and a glowing red sky. It felt almost unreal, never seen anything like it here. The perfect ending to this day.
