When Kristina and Daniel got married in 2024, I had the pleasure of experiencing my first Austrian-Croatian wedding in the mountains of Tyrol. After being completely drenched by the rain the day before, no one would have guessed that their wedding day would bring so much sunshine that half the guests ended up with sunburns, haha.

Their celebration was the perfect blend of heartfelt traditions and pure joy. From flower boys to speeches that left everyone laughing until their stomachs hurt, the day was filled with moments that felt uniquely theirs. Yet among all the laughter, there was also space for the quieter moments. One of the most memorable was the tree-planting ceremony – a beautiful symbol of two lives growing together, with roots that will only become stronger over time.
